HTC Droid Incredible Almost Identical To Nexus One

A teardown analysis of the handset found it so similar to the Google model, also built by HTC, that the Droid could be called "Nexus Two.'

HTC Droid Incredible is the Nexus Two? Not so fast.

iSuppli recently did a teardown for the HTC Droid Incredible, and has come out and said that the device could be the Nexus Two because the components to make the device are so similar. We get the point iSuppli is trying to make, but it just doesn’t sit right with us. The HTC Incredible may have a component and material cost that’s similar to the Nexus One, but it certainly isn’t the Nexus Two. Nevermind, that Google has already come out and said that there will be no Nexus Two followup to the original Nexus One, which was, of course, made by HTC.

T-Mobile will not carry Nexus One in stores

A leaked internal dealer memo has put to rest any rumors that T-Mobile will offer the original Android phone, the Nexus One, in stores. The carrier announced earlier this month that it will cease web sales of the Google-branded, HTC-made device. The memo does reveal that current T-Mobile Nexus One owners will continue to receive the same level of support.
